The new generation dark energy experiments impose severe challenges on understanding any possible systematic shifts in the BAO signature due to nonlinear gravitational growth, scale-dependent bias and redshift space distortions to a high precision, better than the measured statistical uncertainties. This challenge has motivated in the recent years many works based on perturbation theory and large-volume N-body simulations to understand the damping and shifts of the BAO feature as being probe by dark matter and biased tracers. In this talk, I will discuss an optimal strategy for studying the nonlinear BAO systematics with high performance N-body simulations and I will present the results for the BAO shift and damping obtained with our new suite of MultiDark simulations.
