The Gaia mission is currently in orbit and succesfully conducting an astrometric survey that will revolutionize our knowledge of the structure and dynamics of the Milky Way. In the analysis of the expected wealth of data, simulations and mock catalogues will play a key role to help us interpretating the data, understanding the effect of errors and biases and providing ways to statistically compare theoretical models and observations through forward modelling. I will present a suit of methods we have developed at the IA-UNAM Ensenada to search for tidal streams in the Galactic Halo, and which we have adapted to measure and characterize the Galactic Disk Warp. I will present the results of testing these methods in mock catalogues that simulate the observational errors and biases expected in Gaia data.
