The accepted scenario for the formation of galaxies involves the accretion of satellites, at first hierarchical (forming the spheroid) with later mergers perturbing the disk to varying degrees. The accretion of satellites can trigger dynamical changes in the galactic disk which can be difficult to interpret, however the imprint of the accretion event on the galaxy's elemental composition remains eternal. I will show some results from numerical simulations that account for chemical evolution and show the effect that the assembly history and stellar migration can have on galactic chemical evolution.
